Have you noticed bird imagery is everywhere? Just today I received
an email featuring bird-themed bags designed by Kate Spade. In fact, an entire line of bags, belts, mittens, earmuffs, and jewelry, features owls.
That email reminded me how often I encounter images of
birds. Certainly, I am surrounded by birds in many forms here at the Woodson Art Museum,
but take notice when you are out and about.
I have compiled just few examples of how bird imagery serves
to enhance our lives.

Certainly not to be forgotten is bird-themed art, the best of which can be seen in Birds in Art 2013 through November 10 at the Woodson Art Museum.
